BIRD'S EYE VIEW

What if I were a bird?
And could fly from tree to tree!
What songs I would hear!
What things I would see!

The song that the rain sings,
Before a thunderous shower.
The song that the stars sing
As they twinkle at each other.

The song that the sun sings,
As it warms the earth at dawn.
The song that the earth sings,
When something new is born.

And I would see the tree tops
From land view and the sky.
All the things look big or small,
Depends how high you fly!

And I would see the creatures
All moving down below.
And I would stop and give a shout
A heartfelt gracious “hello”

And I would see the people
Walking hand in hand,
And so I move in closer,
For this I have to land.

And I hear the song
These two begin to sing
One being to the other,
The song that lovers sing.

So as I take my flight here
From the things I’ve seen and heard
The things I cannot tell
For I am but a bird.
